Reiki is a natural healing system that supports the body’s ability to heal itself. It is a gentle, quiet and meditative touch. A full session is calming, balancing, and regenerative.
Every creature on this planet, every plant, stone, body of water, even a thought is connected to every other thing. We’re connected through a loving, living web of consciousness we call Universal Life Energy. Rei and ki are Japanese words for this universal concept. They translates to “Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy”.
Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is a healing art that moves Universal Life Energy through our bodies into another person through gentle touch. Reiki can be used in conjunction with standard medical procedures and any religious or spiritual belief without conflict. Through this gentle, nurturing technique, reiki channels Universal Life Energy through us and supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Unlike massage therapy, which involves a manipulation of tissue when touching the client, reiki does not. It is a gentle, meditative touch. My reiki training began in 1993 and I became a Reiki Master in 1995.
